New agric perm sec solicits support

The newly appointed Permanent Secretary for Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Architect Sunday Echono has solicited the unalloyed support and cooperation of staff of the ministry to enable him succeed.

The Permanent Secretary stressed the importance of discipline, commitment and diligence to duty, saying that his administration would not tolerate negative work attitudes but rather healthy social partnership with workers in pursuit of nation building.

He reminded the staff of the mandate of the ministry to achieve sustainable food security, create jobs and wealth, as well as enhance the par capital income of the people through the Agri-business of the Agricultural Transformation Agenda (ATA).

Out-gone Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Ibukun Odusote, thanked the entire staff of the ministry for their support throughout her tenure, saying that the journey of life of every human is pre-determined by God.
She however advised the new Permanent Secretary to take his time to study her handing-over notes which she said contain significant information that would assist him in the smooth running of the ministry.
